Eton Flower - Peony
The peony, known in China as the 'King of Hundred Flowers' and a symbol of wealth and nobility, is the main design, surrounded by small flowers.
Chinoiserie
A style of art popular in Europe from the late 17th to the early 19th century. Based on Chinese / Japanese taste and fused with the Rococo style, it was used in architecture, furniture, and decoration, and was especially prevalent in ceramics.
Herend's "chinoiserie" patterns are modeled after Chinese and Japanese porcelain, and are woven with Herend's rich sense of playfulness to create a unique charm.
